About Our Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process begins with a free consultation where we discuss your requirements and expectations and learn a little more about your organization. After this initial consultation, we will provide you with a written proposal which outlines our approach including fees, anticipated timeline, guarantee, and much more.

Once you've received the proposal and have decided to hire our firm, we set a meeting that includes your key stakeholders which might include someone from your HR department, the hiring manager, and/or anyone else you deem appropriate to attend. This process is essential in allowing us to tailor the recruitment strategy to the specific needs of your organization and the position itself.

Throughout the entire recruitment process, we keep you informed and up-to-date on what's happening so you never feel like you've been left in the dark.

Recruitment FAQ's

What are your fees?

Our professional fee is fifteen (15) percent of the successful candidate’s anticipated compensation (base and bonus), invoiced in three installments.

Are your fees negotiable?

Yes, in some circumstances. For example, if we execute multiple searches for a client, a reduced fee of twelve (12) percent is billed for second and subsequent searches. The searches must be similar. 

Do your fees include expenses?

Expenses related to travel, advertising, candidate assessment and background checks will be billed to you at cost. 


All expenses will be discussed during the initial consultation and will not be incurred without your prior approval.

Do you have a guarantee period? If so, what is your guarantee?

We are devoted to assisting you with attracting and retaining candidates that are committed to your organization which is why we are pleased to offer a 6-month guarantee. 

Are you a contingency or a retained firm?

We work on a 100% retained basis only. We establish an exclusive consulting agreement with our clients because our approach to executive recruitment involves the investment of considerable time and resources that go into finding your candidates. 

What is your process for recruiting?

Our steps are: an initial meeting, establishing timeline and costs, creating the posting, sourcing and screening candidates to create a long list for you, interviewing shortlisted candidates, conducting assessments, background, reference checks, negotiating the offer, assist you in creating an on-boarding plan, and supporting you and the candidate for the first year of employment, or longer, if requested.

How long will it take to fill my role?

There's no single answer to this question, as it depends on the positions you're hiring for, the industry you are in, the current market demand, your location, and a variety of other factors. The timeline is discussed during your initial planning meeting, once a timeline has been proposed by us, we will go above and beyond to ensure it is met. 

What if I only need partial services?

We're happy to create customized solutions for our clients. Perhaps you only need assistance with creating job postings and accepting resumes. Maybe you don't have time to conduct interviews. We can help you in any way that you need. Just reach out and let us know how we can customize a solution that fits your needs. 

I am a Recruiter with a client in Grande Prairie. Can you help me fill their position?

We sure can. We take a collaborative approach to recruiting. In situations like this, you are our client and your client remains your client... we never attempt to poach your clients from you. We provide this service on a split fee basis.
